Why everything in one app

People usually install a separate app for every good habit — and a month later have five trackers on the phone, none of which they open. In Cabe, brain training, breathing, journals and habits live in one place, and the calendar shows them together. That lowers the friction: you open the app for a game and tick off a habit while you’re there.

Tools in the section

  • Habit Tracker — tick off completions and watch your streak and completion rate. On iPhone there is a Home Screen widget.
  • To-do list — tasks grouped into Today, Tomorrow and Important.
  • Goals — long-term goals with percentage progress.
  • Multi-timer and multi-stopwatch — several timers at once for Pomodoro, cooking or workouts, plus a history of time spent per task.
  • Diary and sleep diary — notes on thoughts, events and dreams with a calendar and search.
  • Finance tracker — income, expenses and budget.
  • Workout — timed exercises and dumbbell programmes.

What science says about habits

In a well-known 2010 study by Phillippa Lally, it took participants about 66 days on average for a new action to become automatic — with a wide range from 18 to 254 days. A key finding: missing a single day barely affected habit formation. So the goal is not a perfect streak but getting back on track after a miss.

Another tool that works is the “if–then” plan: “If I get on the train, then I open Cabe instead of the feed.” The more specific the trigger, the easier it is for the action to become automatic. More in our guide How to build a habit that sticks.

Sleep and daily rhythm

Cabe helps you keep a rhythm: mark when you woke up and the app reminds you to put your phone down before bed (using 16 hours awake and 8 hours of sleep as a guide). Sleep length goes into the calendar and your personal analysis.

Personal AI analysis

Journals, sleep, mood, finances and habits add up to a fuller picture. The paid analysis feature uses AI to spot patterns and areas to improve — without having to explain your life to a chatbot from scratch every time.

The minimal start

Create one habit — say, “5 minutes of Cabe instead of the feed” — and tick it off for 30 days. Once it feels automatic, add the next one.

Frequently asked questions

Does the habit tracker have a widget?

Yes, on iPhone you can put your habits on the Home Screen as a widget and see them without hunting for the app.

Where are my notes and habits stored?

Data is stored locally on your device, and the app works offline. See the privacy policy for details.

How many days does it take to form a habit?

The Lally study suggests about 66 days on average, but it ranged from 18 to 254 depending on the person and the habit. Missing a day does not reset your progress.

Is there a Pomodoro timer?

The multi-timer lets you create a 25-minute work timer and a 5-minute break timer and run them in turn, and the multi-stopwatch saves how much time each task took.
